The rapid succession of families descending to Kay Hutchinson Convention Center was astonishing. The swarms of people, mostly dressed in cosplay attire, reach the convention center with stars in their eyes. The journey for them to make it to Fan Expo has been accomplished!
Just walking around Fan Expo Dallas was a packed to the bone with attendees seeing the latest things in geek. They were everywhere and visited booths many times as they had to see everything more than once. We experienced a signed box giveaway with Toynk Toys, high fiving fans after seeing their favorite celebs and of course some good conversations with cosplayers talking about creativity and imagination.
We were able to see an awesome vendor there at Fan Expo Dallas which was Think Geek. Think Geek sells cool items any geek would love to own. They had a cool Deadpool gun set, Batman vehicle, Star Wars Tiki Glasses, and of course Back to the Future items. This was one of our favorite spots to be at during the event.
When you think of comic cons, you would think of the people who helped build that genre through the artists. There were many artists out there with the art they have created. There are master’s of their craft and showcased them through catalogs of comics, designs and canvas’s there at the event. We were able to meet Sam De La Rosa and see the cool Venom items he had to showcase and sign for the fans at the event.
The celebs at this comic con were out of this world! Literally! We had the man to take us back to time with Christopher Lloyd, Batman himself Ben Affleck, The Legend Chuck Norris and many more. Isles were parked with people waiting to meet their favorite celebrity. Our favorite of the event was Felicia Day and she was very heartwarming, nice and fun to be around with. The crowd interaction she had was just amazing!
Dallas Fan Expo provided many aspects to a fans dream including meeting their favorite heroes, cosplayers, artists, and having fun with other people who are just like them. We enjoyed Fan Expo and we felt this was the best Texas comic con in years.
