Tekken is a game where memories were made growing up playing with friends on the original PlayStation. Throughout the years, Tekken has grown more popular for gamers and e-sports competitors. Tekken 8 bridges both elements as you can play rank games against others in a similar rank or remove rank to have fun against others in the game.

We were able to get a beta code sent to us by Bandai Namco to try out Tekken 8 during the Closed Network Test weekend. I was able to redeem the code on my Xbox Series S and download the game quite fast on my internet connection.

Our Thoughts:

I had so much playing Tekken 8 during the Closed Network Test. For that time, you were only able to play multiplayer against other people who were lucky enough to get the beta as well. With that being said, I did have to wait some time to find a match. While waiting for a match, you face off against another character and practice your moves. I’m so glad though that Tekken 8 is cross platform as I was able to play against people that used their PS5 console or on PC for Tekken 8. The matches were very interesting as a lot of the players were pretty damn good. I know I’m no slouch in gaming, but at times, I was treated like a noob in the game. Either way, it was fun and enjoyed playing the game.

The game designers did an amazing job on the game as the graphics were top notch! The characters looked so life like in the game and have some crazy elements on them. The levels in Tekken 8 were so damn cool looking! I kept it on choosing random selection as it was hard to chose where you want to fight in. The new part of the game called Heat which is pretty damn cool! Once you get your Heat lighted up, then you can do a special move in your attack against your opponent. I enjoyed this mode and it was pretty damn cool. Overall, the game was fantastic and can’t wait until the full game comes out!
