Game of Thrones is back with House of the Dragon which talks about the past of Targaryen history and how the crown was fermented! We have HBO MAX, yes we weren’t chosen to see press episodes, but we will discuss the show below for all to see and share! Lets get to it and remember spoilers below!
The episode starts off with AN INTRO! Yes finally an intro that we can be proud of and of course bring back those Game of Thrones vibes. Anyways, past the intro, we see a lot of dead people with crabs all over their bodies on an island. Looks like someone is taking over the seas! Then we are taken to the council where they are talking about needing to find a new kings guard as the previous one passed away. Then Lord Corlys storms in and is mad of the crab feeder that is destroying ships and killing sailors. With the conversation, we found out that this episode is half a year more than the 1st episode. A bit fast forwarding here! Anyways, Rhaenyra wants to take the dragons to scare the crab feeder but the King removes her and has her go choose a knight. While Rhaenyra is looking for a knight, she wants someone that has been into a battle before. Guess who has done battle before…Ser Christian Cole! She chooses him!
Then, we see the King talk with Alicent and discuss how to approach Rhaenyra! She gives the King some sound advice as well as keep him calm. He doesn’t want her to talk to Rhaenyra about what they have been talking about. Later, Alicent and Rahenyra are talking and Alicent is trying to convince her to talk to her father to rebuild that relationship. She also is seeing what her thoughts are for her father to remarry.
Then the King meets with Lord Corlys to talk about the fleet as well as marriage. Lord Corlys and his wife have proposed the King to marry their daughter in order to make sure the alliance becomes stronger. The daughter is 12 years old and the King is disgusted by it.
Later the King and Rhaenyra are eating dinner and start to talk again as they both want to rebuild that relationship. He lets her know he still loves her mother but he has to remarry due to him being the King.
Later, the Hand of the King goes with soldiers to Dragonstone to get back the stolen egg from Daemon. This looks like there will be a war starting between the city watch and Daemon against the Hand of the King and his small army. Then out of nowhere, Rhaenyra shows up with her dragon and talks to Daemon in old Valyrian. After talking to a bit, Daemon leaves and tosses her the dragon egg he had stolen. Once back, the King is mad at Rhaenyra for going out there on Dragon and could have gotten killed.
Then, the King holds a small council meeting…
and discusses who he will marry!
His announcement is something that could divide the houses!
