A screen-matched X-wing model, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Lightsaber, Yoda’s hand and more to go under the hammer in upcoming Los Angeles auction

  • An incredible selection of props, costumes and production material from the Star Wars franchise including a screen-matched X-wing model from A New Hope (1977) estimated to sell between $500,000 – 1,000,000 is to be sold as part of Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction between Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th June 2022
  • Other key lots include several variations of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s (Ewan McGregor) lightsaber from the Prequel trilogy, with estimates ranging from $30,000 – 50,000, to $80,000 – 120,000
  • Another highlight going up for sale is Bob Falfa’s (Harrison Ford) Cowboy Hat from George Lucas’ 1973 film American Graffiti. The hat is an incredible piece of movie history as it represents the start of young actor Harrison Ford’s relationship with George Lucas, which ultimately produced some of the greatest characters in the history of film – Han Solo and Indiana Jones
  • Over 200 Star Wars lots will be sold as part of Propstore’s 1,800 lot auction. Taking place across four days, between 21st – 24th June 2022, the auction features a collection of film memorabilia worth over $9 million (£7.1 million)
  • Bids can be placed in-person, online or by phone from anywhere in the world

Brandon Alinger, Propstore COO, commented on the upcoming auction –”With May 25th being the 45th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), it’s truly a historic moment for Propstore: for the first time ever, we are auctioning a screen-matched Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) Red Leader X-wing Starfighter Pyrotechnic Model Miniature from Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), with a pre-sale estimate of $500,000 – 1,000,000. The model is screen-matched to a memorable shot in the film and photo-matched to multiple behind-the-scenes production shots, providing unquestionable authenticity. “We can’t wait to see this museum-worthy piece along with 1800+ other treasures, go under the hammer in our largest Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction to date from June 21-24.”
