Video gaming & gaming podcasts are helping women stay connected, entertained and positive during COVID-19
In an effort to help the women in their community feel connected, less isolated and positive during these challenging times, the team of the recently launched, all female-founded company the*gameHERs is organizing Instagram takeovers and Instagram Live experiences.
TODAY: Rob Wiethoff, who plays the iconic John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption series, is hosting his first ever Instagram Live on the*gameHERs Instagram, Friday March 27th at 8PM EDT.
To celebrate his podcast episode dropping, Rob will be doing an Instagram takeover and using Instagram Live on the*gameHERs Instagram account and according to Rob, he will “have some special guests lined up that you do NOT want to miss!” And if the buzz on social media is any indicator, this is just the type of feel-good experience that people are looking for during these uncertain times.

Future podcast guests include Michelle Hurd from Star Trek: Picard, some of Kaili’s female co-stars from Read Dead Redemption 2, Steven Ogg from Grand Theft Auto V, streamer Leah Viathan, Popdog Co-founder Niles Heron, and Maul Cosplay couple Ben and Maya Bergmann.
These Instagram takeovers are being hosted by some of these beloved podcast guests from the*gameHERs’ NEW Let’s Play Podcast. In Let’s Play Podcast, actress Kaili Vernoff, who gamers know best as Susan Grimshaw in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Miranda Cowan in Grand Theft Auto V, interviews some of the most interesting and informed people in the gaming industry today.
Last week, their first fabulous podcast guest Jen Cohn, who plays Pharah in the widely popular video game Overwatch, took over the*gameHERs Instagram for the whole day. Jen delighted followers with pictures of her channeling her inner aviator, a flashback montage of a cosplay marriage proposal, and a video of Jen describing her informative and fun podcast interview with host and friend Kaili.
