THE TOBIN CENTER PRESENTS THE JERKY BOYS AND JOHNNY BRENNAN SEPTEMBER 22, 2021

(San Antonio, TX) The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts presents The Jerky Boys with Johnny Brennan, coming to the H-E-B Performance Hall on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 7:30pm.

The Jerky Boys are back with the new calls, new characters, and a brand new Number One record. Johnny Brennan’s cultural phenomenon in the 1990s makes a comeback with their first new Jerky Boys album in over 20 years. Join Sol Rosenberg, Jack Tors, Frank Rizzo and a slew of new characters as they try to save the world, one prank call at a time!

Johnny Brennan was a wise-cracking kid from New York who had a natural gift for doing voices and creating characters. He began in the seventies, doing it to entertain his family, later trying out his characters in the real world by making and recording prank calls with them. In character, he’d talk circles around the pizza-parlor employees, construction company foremen, and other people unfortunate enough to answer their phone. Those original tapes began circulating and being passed around college campuses and among musicians.

The Jerky Boys eventually signed with Atlantic Records and went on to sell millions of copies of their prank call collections. They made a movie, did commercials, became famous, launched careers, and created classic characters.

Come celebrate the release of the new album with Johnny Brennan and bring your favorite prank calling, ICONIC, childhood memories to life in an interactive show with Johnny. Johnny will also share the wacky details behind your favorite characters – from Frank Rizzo to Big ‘Ol Bad Ass Bob The Cattle Rustler.
