After a hiatus year, Taipei Game Show (TGS) finally relaunches in 2021! Amidst the global crisis caused by the pandemic, the Taiwanese government and people all come together to fend off the disease. To provide a safe exhibition space free of fear, the organizer, Taipei Computer Association implements strict rules, establishing a safe exhibition space for players and exhibitors.

For this year’s exhibition, Taipei Game Show is in full cooperation with disease control authorities and implements all necessary measures. The show reduces the total number of booths in the exhibition area from the original 900 booths to 500. Taipei Game Show also adopts a system requiring visitors to provide their actual name for admission and lowers the total of concurrent visitors from 12,000 visitor capacity to 7,000. Furthermore, extra personnel have been dispatched to remind visitors to practice social distancing and wear a mask throughout the event; the organizer also sets up four additional hand-washing areas on the show floor to meet the disease prevention measures of mandatory masks and frequent hand washing.

Under the impact of the pandemic and to comply with border control policies, B2B ZONE makes a great effort in building a brand-new online business platform: GAME LINKER. The new platform provides industry professionals at home and abroad an opportunity to showcase their products and services, and offers a year-round comprehensive business solution. This year, B2B ZONE has over 300 companies from more than 35 countries participating in its online business networking. Taiwanese game companies, including Another Indie, Softstar, Soft-World, Chinese Gamer Int. Funyours Technology, DiGeam, Play4Fun, BearBone Studio, and Aiming Inc; publishing and development service providers such as Appier, Digicentre, and Pentium Network Technology, all participate in the iconic annual event through the online networking platform and onsite exhibition. The new platform allows Taipei Game Show to break from spatial limitations while carrying out both virtual and physical events simultaneously. The platform, too, creates a new business networking experience: an innovative integration of reality and virtuality that reveals limitless possibilities.
