Sisters Short Film Review

Sisters short film by Jessica Brunetto is a story of two sisters Andy (Mary Holland) and Emily (Sarah Burns). Emily Takes over the care of their mother on her last days in a coma. She put her life and relationship on hold to tend to her dying mother. Andy is across the country trying to make it as an actress with her own issues.

Andy comes home to say goodbye to her mother and trying to sell the house as soon as possible as her acting is going nowhere. Broke and can’t pay rent she needs cash. Emily is full-on taking care of her mother thing are about to get real as they come to faces the realness of the so death of their mother.

Andy is coming in cold and with the mindset of she wants to move on as she and her mother did not have a great relationship. Emily sees things with more compassion and knows her sisters is a handful. They clash and like most siblings will over the smallest things.

Overall a story of two sisters dealing with the impending loss of their mother in their way. They start of drink Andy’s favorite thing to do and come clean on their issues and find a common ground. A good short film that hits home to those who have lost a parent. Give this short a watch and see how they learn to see eye to eye again.
