“Too Smart,” Rose Starring’s new single and debut music video, is a western-inspired track that plays off of the concept that love is a battlefield. The video, which takes inspiration from the uniquely Nashvillian rhinestone cowboy trend, depicts a standoff between two lovers which personifies the feeling of being at war with the one you love. Producer Gabriel Eli ties the song’s western themes in sonically with iconic whistle and slide guitar motifs that will leave you whistling this tune for days to come.

Rose Starring is a 24-year-old independent pop artist based in Nashville, TN. Rose graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in December of 2020 with a degree in Commercial Songwriting and now writes for herself and other artists. Her EP “Stages of Grief” has amassed over 61k streams to date, and her cover of “Work” by Charlotte Day Wilson has been streamed over 34k times.
