In “La Mexicana,” Ramón Vega and Lasso venture into a night out full of drinking and partying in hopes of getting their mind off a past lover; however, they soon realize that dating a Mexican woman is an unforgettable experience. Throughout the song, they express feelings of regret for having kissed their lover in the first place because now they find themselves completely enchanted and unable to forget her.

The music video directed by Kath D. follows Ramón Vega and Lasso as they live it up singing and dancing and riding bikes around a shopping plaza. It seems like everywhere they turn they find their Mexican girl but after a closer view, their distorted vision returns to reality, and they see their average plaza employees. Adorned with the bright colored piñatas and papel picado, we are fully submerged into Mexican culture.
