(New York, New York) Today, New Orleans musician/rapper/producer Pell releases Floating While Dreaming II (FWD II), an expansive new 11-track album showcasing his deep range and collaborative spirit with features from PJ Morton, Big Gigantic, Dave B, and more. FWD II is a sonically elevated follow up to the rapper’s self-released debut, 2014’s Floating While Dreaming (Ludwig Göransson, Tomas Barfod) as he continues to showcase the energy of his hometown New Orleans influences. Full tracklist below.

“Sometimes I get in a loop of being in the studio so much that I forget about all the places my music has taken me. I’m having the most fun I can with my music right now so this is an invitation to anyone following my journey to come take this trip with me,” says Pell.

Pell tapped GRAMMY Award winning artist and fellow NOLA native, PJ Morton on the delightfully soulful track “So Cold.” It is no surprise PJ and Pell meld well together as the two have been long-time collaborators and are deeply rooted in the NOLA music scene.

“It’s about the times when you’re on the outs with someone you love still trying to make it work.” Pell explains, “The song is from both the perspective of me, and the woman I’m with. First verse is more authentic to her, second verse is more authentic to me. I’m stoked I was able to get one of my icons the World Famous Tony Williams on there along with one of my favorite collaborators PJ Morton.”

In another project highlight, Pell offers a hypnotizing flow on recent single “Flight” featuring Dave B., a song imbued with instantly catchy lyrics (Green lights/ Good weed/ Just fun/ Get high.)
