Free prizes and photo opp for attendees, branded in-game area to help celebrate Oklahoma’s biggest single weekend event
PARIS, FRANCE—APRIL 4, 2024 – Gameloft, a leader in the creation and publishing of games, today announced that its hit strategy RPG March of Empires will take Oklahoma’s largest single weekend event, The Medieval Fair of Norman, by storm with on-site activations for Fair attendees and special in-game events for players. The celebration will go live on April 5th and run until the Fair’s conclusion on April 7th.
To celebrate the event virtually, March of Empires’ jousting area will be branded to look just like its real-world Fair counterpart, complete with the opponent knight appropriately renamed The Knight of Norman. Players who prove their jousting prowess may also be able to get their hands on a very special and powerful new in-game item created just for the Fair – the Norman Quiver of Arrows.
At The Medieval Fair of Norman, attendees will be able to snap a souvenir picture at the dedicated March of Empires tent and get their hands on free arrows at the Fair’s archery event. Across the event’s three days, visitors can also try their luck with a spin of the March of Empires prize wheel, with free food, beverage coupons, in-game rewards, and other prizes up for grabs.
March of Empires thrusts players into an age of massive medieval war, where every decision can dictate the rise and fall of their kingdom. The Medieval Fair of Norman is the largest single weekend event in Oklahoma, attracting over 350,000 visitors each year to the city of Norman. Held annually since 1977, the event provides visitors with arts, crafts, educational exhibits, food, games, and live entertainment across seven stages featuring minstrels, dancing, theater, jugglers, jousting knights, and costumed characters, including the Fair’s royal court of King Edward III.
