Licorice Pizza Review

Licorice Pizza is a film by Paul Thomas Anderson starring Alana Haim, Cooper Hoffman, and Sean Penn. A story of first love and a young hustler part coming of age mixed with a love story.  Gary is a young teen actor high school kid trying to make it and more. Alana is a young woman working and she meets Gary at his school.

Gary is a very ambitious teen Alana catches his eye and he goes full send to try to win her love. Alana is not going to be an easy conquest as she is already out of high school and working.  The game of love starts for them both as things take turns not for seen and Gary starts to make his own business. He gets Alana to join him in his business.

The cat and mouse game keeps going and feelings start to take hold but not without its lessons. Each will learn so much from each other and not know it till the right moment. A love story filled with adventures and pitfalls. A real look into a simpler time in life and young love and heartache. I give this one an 8 out of 10 for the story and the cinematography. The ’70s vibe in bout scenery and wardrobe make the overall feel hit just right. A bit long in the dialog but it’s not too bad be sure to check it out.

The Blu-Ray is packed with extra features that are must-see as well as a mini-poster in it. A very cool little gem that was added to this release is a lost thing now indays. Here are the official details as well our unboxing of the screener copy sent to us.
