La Brea Season 1 Peacock Review

I was able to watch La Brea on my Roku using my Peacock streaming app. The first season is available to watch, so I was able to binge it in a weekend. The story is so unique and hits my sci fi as well as history manned mind hard! I’m trying not too hard to spoiler the show, but its pretty cool. Eve, her son Josh, and other survivors from the fall into the sink hole are transported to Los Angeles 10,000 years ago. Yes you heard me, they were transported back to the last ice age! Then, they have to figure out how to get back into their time while also meeting some extinct animals that want them for lunch as well as meeting some shady tribes people that are not who they say they are.

Enough said, watch this show on Peacock pronto!

Our thoughts

Pro:

  • Story
    • A sink hole opens up in the middle of the road in Los Angeles with such devastation. Many people, including vehicles and pieces of buildings, fall into the sinkhole. While falling into a sink hole, a weird crack in the fabric of time appears and transports everyone and everything that falls in to the sink hole, somewhere else. Eve, her son Josh, and other people discover a new world around them as they are in a different place. Together, they venture out to look for other survivors, help each other, and discover more about certain people that are already in that area.
  • Twist and Turns
    • So many twist and turns just like a Novela in this show! Spoiler Alert: I was shocked to find out that the little boy Isiah is actually Eve’s husband Gavin in our present time. Then, finding out their were transported back 10,000 years ago during the last ice age was shocking as well. There are more twist and turns in this first season that had me hooked badly!
