Interview with TELMA

Today, we sat down with metal band Telma to talk their start in music, fun stories, and much more! Be sure to check out a few of their music videos below after the interview!

Interview:

How did you get your start in music?

Markos and Filip were playing music together since high school. The band began its formation when the two brothers met Mike and started jamming. After three or four months Mike introduced Anthony to the other two, whom he knew from a previous band they had. After that we jammed a little harder and the result of that is our first album. We started the recording process in September 2020 with the help from George Margaritopoulos, who is a very close friend and also the producer of “Eternal”.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

We were exposed into Rock and Heavy sound in our childhood and then each one started his own trip exploring music. Some of our greatest influences from the older to the more recent ones are  Pantera, Nevermore, Faith No More, Alice in Chains, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Lamb of God, Gojira and Tesseract.  These sounds have clearly impacted our music.

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

In this pandemic situation it is not that easy to live the recordings in the fullest. Of course we had our inside jokes because of the nature of the recordings and the time that we spent together in the studio but our funny stories were filtered by the quarantine. We were very careful to keep our loved ones safe. We took a more serious and professional approach and we were focused to our goal.

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

After our first two single video clips, Perfect Storm and Bipolar Distress , we released our full length debut album almost one month ago, on the 20th of August 2021.
