Ryan Simmons (In Fear) – “This is the 3rd single release from our debut album “All Is. All Shall Be.” which follows a concept story throughout, linking each song to the previous. Thematically it focuses on a character who is trapped in purgatory trying desperately to reach the afterlife, but they are doomed to repeat the same torturous cycle of events.’All Is’ depicts the character’s descent into purgatory, arriving and questioning why the afterlife isn’t what they were led to believe. During the character’s past life, they were a member of a cult and committed horrific acts to satisfy their beliefs. In the quiet break of the song the character is talking to the void, asking why the ‘Lord of darkness’ they so dearly believed in isn’t there to greet them after leaving behind any purity in their past life. Blindly believing without seeking the truth is a dangerous concept, one which we see manifesting itself in today’s society. This song portrays the consequences of this, as the character experiences the reality of what awaits them in the afterlife.”
