An all-new gameplay trailer debuted moments ago in the Future Games Show for Power Chord, the heavy metal roguelike deckbuilder from Big Blue Bubble, coming to PC via Steam in Q3 2022.
Power Chord will perform a free concert on Steam Next Fest starting Monday, June 13, with a demo starring a brand-new character. The seer vocalist Asher Odd brings mystical powers of foresight to the stage, letting players draw the perfect card from anywhere in the deck and buffing band members by reducing the energy costs of their cards.
Bring together the mightiest rockers on the planet and outplay the demon punks of Helmoth with a setlist of cards. Take back dive bars throughout the city and close the tear between worlds on a roguelike journey with brutal encounters, restorative rest stops, and game-changing loot. Inspired by legends like Slay the Spire and Monster Train, Power Chord deepens the card-based combat with multiple party roles and specialties to manage, like a drummer’s tanky defense and a vocalist’s healing wind.
  • Assemble a band of Earth’s mightiest musicians and learn their strengths to win grungy battles of the bands
  • Perform clever combos between guitarists, bassists, vocalists, and drummers in simple-yet-deep turn-based battles
  • Rise against overwhelming odds on a lengthy roguelike tour where a member getting KO’ed deals a serious blow to the group
  • Snap up new cards for your next appearance, devising new strategies to take down demons and buff your legendary instruments.
Power Chord starts the show on Steam for PC in Q3 2022. For more deets on Big Blue Bubble and Power Chord, visit the official website and follow the band on Twitter, Discord, Instagram, and Facebook.
