Gran Turismo is a film directed by  Neill Blomkamp and starring David Harbour, and Orlando Bloom. It is a based on true events film about a group of video game players who are passionate about racing in the Gran Turismo video game. Jann is a young racer who is a bit lost in his life his goals don’t match. Up with what his father wants for him.

Wanting to be a race car diver his father feels he is wasting his life on video games. Jann is a world-class driver in-game and has a real feel for racing. A chance of a lifetime race comes to light as a team that wants to take the world’s best drivers and put them in a race for a chance to learn to become real race car drivers. Jann is one of a group of racers picked to race for a chance to become a race car driver.

Jann will find himself with the chance to make his dreams come true. Just like all things in life, it will not be easy and he will find out what he is really made of. As a fan of the game, the film is a real look into the racing side of the game. Shows how one fan made his dreams come true all from a video game. I give this one an 8 out of a 10 the whole story of Jann will hit home for most people. Not knowing what to do with one’s life and dealing with the pressure of family and friends. Knowing what you want to do with your life and stuck not knowing how to get there. Jann shows he was meant to be a driver and his story is one to watch even if you are not a racing or fan of the game it will hit you in the feels.
