Opening the hearts of American audiences, Francisca Valenzuela continues to rack up success following the release of her fifth studio album, Vida Tan Bonita (Such a Beautiful Life). Since this last July, when she kicked off the first leg of her tour alongside Camilo Séptimo, the outstanding Chilean singer, songwriter, poet and activist, continues to make a buzz while positioning herself strongly in the popular taste.
With a high energy show packed with great music, the artist recently performed as a guest artist for the iconic Mexican band Café Tacvba, where she shared the stage across important markets such as Salt Lake City, Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Anaheim.
The Chilean composer performed for the first time songs off of her new album “Vida Tan Bonita”, which includes the singles “Dar y Dar”, “Como La Flor”, “Último Baile”, “Salú”, “Hola Impostora” and “Castillo de Cristal”, among others. Francisca Valenzuela has one final show in the USA before returning to CDMX; This Thursday, November 10th, she will perform live at the David Rubenstein Atrium at the emblematic Lincoln Center in New York, and finally on November 13th at Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, followed by performances on November 25th at the Movistar Arena in Chile, November 27th at the Rock al Parque Festival in Bogota, Colombia and at La Trastienda in Argentina on December 10th.
A sample of what fans can expect from the live shows can be seen in the music video for “Detener el Tiempo”, recorded live at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, where the Chilean songstress had a sold out show.
Furthering a string of successes and recognition, Francisca was nominated for four MUSA Awards in the categories of Best Pop Artist, Album of the Year with her album “Vida Tan Bonita”, Song of the Year with the song “Dar y Dar” and also Collaboration of the Year, for “Te lo Pido Por Favor”, together with Chilean Francisco Victoria.
“Vida Tan Bonita” is Francisca’s fifth studio album, following the award-winning “La Fortaleza”. Eleven songs written and composed by the artist give life this production, the second under her new label, Sony Music. “Vida Tan Bonita” was produced by multi-Grammy award-winning Argentine producer Sebastián Krys and the also award-winning Colombian producer Ali Stone.
Released last May 8, “Vida Tan Bonita” has been warmly received by both critics and audiences alike, appearing on the list of “The Best Albums of 2022 So Far” by the renowned Rolling Stone magazine and has now been chosen as one of 22 Latin albums of the year by Billboard Latin.
With a career that started in 2007, Francisca is one of the most active representatives of Chilean pop at an international level. She has a Latin GRAMMY nomination, and collaborations with artists such as U2, Miguel Bosé, Pablo Alborán, Mon Laferte, Natalia Lafourcade, and Pedro Aznar among others.
