Fresh and playful is the new music video of the national singer, which was recorded prior to one of the three sold-outs she performed at the Teatro Oriente, presenting her album ADENTRO, last September.
Given the premise of a confessional and real song, like all her songs, Francisca Valenzuela presents “Continente,” the recent single and music video from her acclaimed album ADENTRO.
Inspired by an initial relationship, this song illustrates the complexities of physical and emotional distance in interpersonal relationships, but also, according to the singer, gives us space to reflect on the metaphorical distance that can occur in these same situations.
With the above, through her music video -which was recorded prior to one of the three sold-outs that the Chilean singer performed at the Teatro Oriente in Santiago, during her “Adentro 2023” tour- she wanted to “convey the vitality, freshness, and energy of the song, because it is playful and rockish.”
The composition resulted from a live take, during the recording of the album in Mexico City: “It’s a song I wrote on the piano, and the whole musical production was built around that piano arrangement. So, it was very fun because we recorded it with a full band, that is, it’s a very live take, including all the instruments,” Francisca extends.
Thus, the insatiable national artist welcomes autumn, closing a summer that took her on tour through several cities in Chile; where she added two presentations at important events in Mexico City, such as the Decididas Summit and Spotify’s EQUAL Day; in addition to her double appearance at Viña 2024 and the premiere of her music video “Adentro.”
It is worth noting that a few days ago, Francisca Valenzuela performed one of the most celebrated presentations at Lollapalooza Chile 2024, with a powerful and emotional show, in addition to having produced and held an event to benefit the victims of the fires in the Valparaíso Region, which raised more than 9 million pesos in aid for the Villa Independencia School, in Viña del Mar.
