Folk-Pop Artist Penelope Drops Video For “Drive” via V Magazine

“Her intimate – yet very relatable – lyrics draw inspiration from personal experience and also from 1990s music, a combination that results in a minimalist but powerful collection of indie-pop tracks” –V Magazine
“feel-good soul energy with folk-pop vibes” –Wonderland
“New York-born and based singer/songwriter with a penchant for refreshing acoustic guitars and delicate sonics” –Atwood
New York-born and raised singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Penelope unveils the music video for her latest single “Drive” today. The video, premiering via V Magazine, depicts a blissful car ride that builds visually as the song’s subtle guitar-based instrumental builds to a drum-heavy cathartic bridge powered by Penelope’s voice. The single follows the release of the songstress’ track “coming home,” released earlier this fall. The track was timely single for the artist who had just moved back home to New York. The lyric video for “coming home” premiered exclusively via Atwood Magazine, where the track was praised as “heartfelt and sweet… an affection folk-pop immersion.” Additionally, the music video dropped via Wonderland HERE. Upon release, the song was immediately added to Apple Music’s New In Pop playlist.
Stay tuned for more releases from penelope coming soon!
