EXCEPTION Game Review

Exception is a very fast paced platformer. A warning to anyone who might be prone is seizures due to flashing lights. The plot of the game is pretty simple. Everything takes place inside of a computer system and it has been overrun by a computer virus and is your job to make sure that the viruses are taken out to save the system.

Game controls are straight forward as well. The controls are a jump button, attack, and of course the joystick or d-pad to navigate. Gameplay was smooth, fluent, and has the potential to become a good speedrun game for the players who want to take it to the next level in difficulty. The game is challenging and most of the enemies are one hit kill, I did come across a couple of the bosses that did not generate when I reached them at the end of the level. I would have to start the stage all over again and hope that the boss would be at the end waiting for me.

Even with the small flaws that I came across was still not enough to turn me away from playing the game. I felt when I had to start the stage over again it would give me a chance to beat the level with a better score. I absolutely had a blast with this game, the music and the beautiful background level design just kept me hooked.

The game is definitely a game you should give a try. The more you progress, the harder the game becomes and, in my opinion, the more challenging it gets.
