At the forefront of the música Mexican movement, the eminent songwriter and producer also lands at number 12 on the Year End Hot 100 Producers Chart as the highest ranked Latin figure. Culminating an astonishing year dominating the charts, Edgar Barrera has amassed hundreds of thousands of streams across multiple genres. His unmatched ability to hone in on an artist’s strengths, talents and musicality while also leveraging his Mexican roots have played a large role in his continued Latin music domination. Plus, his indie label BorderKid also nabs accolades on this year’s Year End Charts on Hot Latin Songs Imprints.
In addition, two of the songs he has composed/produced have landed on the Year End Hot 100 Songs and seven have nabbed spots on the Year End Global 200.

Just last week, Edgar Barrera took home three Latin GRAMMY Awards for Producer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Best Regional Song bringing him to a total of 21 Latin GRAMMY Awards. Born in McAllen, Texas and raised between Mexico and the U.S., Edgar Barrera had a very culturally rich upbringing which has profoundly influenced his work as a songwriter and producer.
