LAHAINA, HAWAII – June 9, 2023 – Kimono Cats, the wholesome feline village builder meets dating sim from ToeJam and Earl creators HumaNature Studios nominated for a 2023 Apple Design Award is available now exclusively on Apple Arcade for iPhone, iPad, macOS, and Apple TV with a huge content update.
Explore the vibrant Matsuri festival alongside a charming cat companion. Go from stall to stall popping bubbles to play carnival-style minigames like Target Toss, Shuriken Throw, and Hot Potato to win the feline’s favor and trigger happy events. Check out the brand new minigame for the 1.1 update where cats must rein in a whacky ramen cart. Turn the village into a cozy abode for furry friends by building new structures like shops, houses, and restaurants. Fill the bustling town with plant and animal life for a thriving community. Just make sure to water the flowers!
Shell out some coins and visit the local shop to buy unique items for the village like home decor and plants, as well as message cards to send to friends. Each level allows players the ability to unlock items with a higher degree of rarity. In total there are over 200 items to collect. Newly added items include hot air balloons, frog ponds, ice cream trucks, a cozy campfire and even crash landed visitors from another planet!
Kimono Cats is all about positivity and love. Play online and invite friends over to hang at the village and have them leave a sweet note in the guestbook. Spread even more good vibes by gifting inventory items to fellow cat lovers. Show off the village to the world with the new photo sharing feature that allows players to save snapshots automatically on their device.
Also new to the 1.1 update is the introduction of quests. Keep an eye out for a signal in the sky to trigger timed missions to score big rewards. Give companions a piggy back ride during a flashy fireworks display, pick up a lost kitty, or scare off some ghastly ghosts. Some quests are tougher than others, persevere to win the greatest prizes and impress the sweethearts.
