NEW YORK (AUGUST 13, 2026) – One of reggaeton mexa’s breakout voices Cachirula unveils her latest solo single “Es Triiste” ft. Kreamly, a hypnotic exploration of lingering emotions, memories, and the complexities of romantic connection. Blending melodic electronic production with the rhythmic foundation of reggaeton mexa, the track showcases Cachirula’s signature sound merging the intensity of underground bellakeo with a more atmospheric and introspective approach, further cementing her as an architect in the genre’s evolution. “Es Triiste” and the official music video are now available on all streaming platforms.
In “Es Triiste,” Cachirula explores the emotional weight of a connection that continues to exist through shared memories and experiences. The track delves into the complexities of holding onto moments from the past while navigating the space between what once was and what exists now, capturing the tension between vulnerability, desire, and acceptance. Featuring Chilean producer Kreamly, the track fuses experimental production with underground bellakeo influences, further establishing Cachirula’s fresh perspective on reggaeton mexa’s rapidly evolving sound while continuing to carve out her own space within the genre. The accompanying music video brings the track’s nostalgic theme to life with a playful Y2K inspired aesthetic that places Cachirula at the center of different digital worlds.
As one of reggaeton mexa’s fastest emerging voices, Cachirula brings a distinctive perspective to the genre through her fusion of alternative rock, electronic influences, and experimental production. Born Julieta Sánchez, Cachirula began exploring music at 16 years old, teaching herself production and songwriting before deciding to share her work online and developing her sound independently. Before stepping into the spotlight as a performer, she began her career behind the scenes as a producer, creating music for herself and other artists while crafting the signature sound that defines her artistry today. In December 2025, she released her debut solo EP FRÍO, a five-track project blending reggaeton and EDM that featured collaborations from a diverse range of genres including Alanis Yuki, Yeri Mua, and Uzielito Mix. As one half of the breakout duo Cachirula & Loojan, she has helped build their immersive SEXOLANDIA universe, including their debut project SEXOLANDIA and sophomore album SEXOLANDIA 2 with feature collaborations including El Malilla, Yeri Mua, and El Bogueto. The duo has become a defining force within the new wave of reggaeton mexa, pushing the genre’s movement beyond Mexico through major performances at Coca-Cola Flow Fest, Sueños, and their Coachella debut in 2026, which marked their first U.S. performance and further highlighted the growing global presence of Mexican reggaeton. Most recently, Cachirula & Loojan performed at Baja Beach Fest 2026 and will continue expanding their global reach with their first U.S. tour, the SEXOLANDIA US TOUR, kicking off this August as they bring their boundary-pushing sound to 13 cities across the country.
