BOSTON UPRISING TO SIGN KOBE “HALO” HAMAND

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Boston Uprising announced today the signing of American support player Kobe “Halo” Hamand from North American Overwatch Contenders team Triumph. Halo’s signing is currently pending league approval.

Halo, 19, comes to Boston from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and has competed on multiple Contenders teams since 2018, including NRG Esports, Second Wind and most recently Triumph. Halo specializes on main support heroes like Lucio and will add more depth to the roster in that position alongside Gabriel “Swimmer” Levy.

“Halo has been competing at a consistent level for years, and we think he has the potential to be a great addition to the team,” said Chris “HuK” Loranger, President of Gaming for the Uprising. “We welcome him to the Uprising and are excited to begin working with him soon.”

The team’s season continues this weekend, as they travel to Washington, D.C. to compete against the Washington Justice on March 7 and the Atlanta Reign on March 8.
