A Creature was Stirring Review

A Creature was Stirring directed by Damien LeVick starring Scout Taylor -Compton and Chrissy Metz. A nurse with a dark past is taking care of her daughter with an unknown illness. Faith is trying her best to help her daughter Charm with a mysterious illness Faith is making her drugs to medicate her. Things are going normal as usual when they hear a window break downstairs. Faith goes down to find her window broken and hears noises in the house. She finds two people in her house she tries to stop them from leaving by hitting Kory in the leg wounding him. Liz and Kory were trying to escape a major winter blizzard.

They are on a church mission to only get trapped by the storm and are now in this house. Faith wants to kick them out back into the cold. Liz makes the case they will die if the snow. Faith lets them stay and explains she is caring for her daughter with a fever. Telling them not to go upstairs and giving them a room for the night

Things are not what they seem as they meet Charm Liz gets the feeling she is being forced to be sick. As they start to dig they uncover the dark truth. It hits the fan and Faith’s past drug use and more come to light as Kory finds a suitcase filled with Faith’s secrets. Liz sees what happens to Charm if her temp is not controlled. The night just turned worst fast and it’s going to be a long night.

A wild ride is an understatement this one starts with the pedal to the floor and doesn’t let up. The story is done well and you will get lost in it but the signs are there. I give this one an 8 out of 10 the way it unfolds makes for the perfect delivery of the outcome. You feel for both Faith and Charm and the ending is a gut punch when it unfolds. A wild one but in a good way seeing the truth is the real start of the film for me. This is one film one must watch to understand it and will not disapont.
