The iconic Mexican rock band,  Zoé , announces their new tour around the United States in celebration of the release of their seventh studio album,  Sounds of Karmatic Resonance.  Produced by Live Nation, the eponymous 26-date tour will begin in late August with two concerts at Chicago’s House of Blues and culminate in mid-October in Anaheim, CA.
Pre-sale tickets available this Wednesday, April 21, at 10am local time using the code: SKR
Tickets on sale Friday, April 23, via  www.ticketmaster.com  and  zoetheband.com
In 2019, at the end of the Aztlán tour  ,  León Larregui , vocalist and leader of the band, felt a need to return to the studio immediately.
“I did not want to make a solo album, but to take advantage of the solid moment that we lived as a group. The idea was to make a very fast album, driven by our own cohesion. We started working and immediately about eight songs came out … until the pandemic fell on us , ” said Larregui
The crisis put the band’s plans on hold; however, the result of a turbulent creative process of more than a year is perhaps Zoé’s most ingenious, mature, and complete work to date.
From the melancholic synth-pop of “ SKR”  and the melodramatic atmosphere of  “Fiebre”  to the melodic chorus of “ Velur”, Sounds of Karmatic Resonance  boasts all the characteristic elements that have made  Zoé  rock icons across the continent. Angular melodies, propelling rhythms and addictive choruses inspire listeners to dance and even daydream – sometimes both at the same time.
This time around, the wide range of styles – neo-psychedelia, space rock notes, and hints of new wave – blend like never before. Zoé’s ability to create cinematic atmospheres is anchored in a collection of glorious melodies.
“ In these songs you can hear the accumulation of influences that we have stored over the years: from Pink Floyd records to The Cure, to exotic things, such as sounds from Africa and the East, as well as other less explicit references, such as Nina Simone, Donovan or Johnny Cash ” , says Sergio Acosta, guitarist and co-founder of Zoé.

“My way of composing has also changed,”  adds Larregui , “before I needed to download an idea to the guitar, and today I may be walking down the street and listen to a piece of any kind of music, which stays in my brain. and it starts to distort organically until it becomes something. “
Not only did Zoé’s way of composing evolve, but also her creative methodology. For the production of  Sounds of Karmatic Resonance , Zoé decided to collaborate with  Craig Silvey , known for his work with Arcade Fire, The National and Arctic Monkeys, and who had previously produced some songs for Aztlán.
Now, Zoé plans to return to the stages of the world driven by the desire to present her new material in concert. The band will be seen in its purest element, surrounded by its loyal fans.
“I had been imagining recording an album like this for years ,”  says Acosta. ” And you know what makes it so special? That we are still the five of us – playing together after so many years . “
