U2 have just completed a 40 night run of shows in Las Vegas which saw the world’s biggest rock band launch the world’s most cutting-edge venue, Sphere. The pioneering ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’ brought music, art and technology together to create an unparalleled immersive live music experience, another first-of-its-kind from the Irish band who have consistently pushed the boundaries of live performance, with ground-breaking stage shows that embrace the latest in technology and innovation.

Join us at Ireland House at Marlow Bar on Tuesday March 12th 1-2pm to meet key team members behind U2:UV as they discuss the creative process of designing and building this extraordinary show: Ric Lipson (STUFISH: Stage Designer & Creative Consultant), Stefaan ‘Smasher’ Desmedt (Live Video Director), Niall Slevin (Audio Monitor and Wireless Systems Engineer).

As we celebrate St Patrick’s Day all over the world, Ireland is unveiling its first-ever, specially curated ‘Ireland House at South By,’ showcasing the best of Irish creativity in the fields of science, innovation, technology, culture and the arts.

Ireland House at SXSW is a collaboration between Irelands Consulates in Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, Culture Ireland, Screen Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Tourism Ireland and Music from Ireland, as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Ireland is a nation of storytellers, creators, innovators, migrants, explorers, and game-changers. Our creativity finds form through the arts, business, science, technology, and beyond.  Ireland House at SXSW, running from 11 – 15 March, will showcase the richness of our culture, creativity, and innovation.
