MIAMI (OCTOBER 12, 2023) – The Latin Recording Academy® has announced that Aline Bispo has been selected as the official artist of the 24th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®.

Bispo had a definitive creative vision when creating the artwork for this year’s Latin GRAMMY Awards. In the process of shaping this mosaic, Bispo combined central themes of her culture through female figures, elements of nature and symbols that represent and refer to her homeland of Brazil. This vibrant and colorful work was created in just two weeks using the graphite technique, which was digitized upon completion.

“This art for the Latin GRAMMYs was conceived and produced with a lot of love,” Bispo said. “Just as music conveys many feelings, I would like for people to feel that from the elements in my work. It’s a work that stimulates people in the same way music does.”

“Aline is a passionate and gifted artist whose murals beautify cities in her native Brazil, reminding us that music and visual arts lift spirits, crossing cultures and frontiers. We are deeply grateful to her for this invaluable contribution to The Latin Academy”, said Manuel Abud, CEO, The Latin Recording Academy.

Born in São Paulo, Bispo is a visual artist, illustrator and curator who creates illustrations in which religious icons meet elements of nature and political symbols.  Bispo’s brushstrokes sustain the colored surfaces that mark her graphic compositions. Using a variety of materials and surfaces, the artist aims not to limit herself, but rather to transform Brazilian cultural imagery.

The 24th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast from the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) in Sevilla (Andalucía), Spain, on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, on Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión in the U.S. and on Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) in Spain. Additional international broadcasting partners will be announced soon.

Since 2001, The Latin Recording Academy has selected a Spanish or Portuguese language-speaking visual artist to visually convey the importance of music in Latin culture, bridging the gap between these two art forms. Ms. Bispo becomes the 24th visual artist to do so, joining a long-standing tradition shaped by internationally acclaimed visual artists.  The use of 24th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards artwork requires express written permission from The Latin Recording Academy.
