A Line of Exclusive Supergirl Products Are Also Poised to Take on the World

To celebrate Sasha Calle’s historic portrayal of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming action adventure “The Flash,” Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and DC collaborated with such powerhouse licensees as Mattel, MacFarlane and more to develop all-new products. Inspired by Calle’s version of the DC Super Hero, Supergirl products—including toys, collectibles, apparel and more—are a key offering of this global collection for “The Flash.” The epic story will unfold only in theaters beginning June 16, 2023, in North America and internationally beginning June 14.

Calle’s star has been on the rise since she was announced in the role and marks the first time a Latina has played the iconic character. She was surprised in February 2021 by the film’s director, Andy Muschietti, who called to tell her she had gotten the part—see the moment here. A centerpiece item from the collection is Mattel’s Supergirl Barbie Doll, which radiates the power and strength of Kara Zor-El and features her iconic red and blue suit with the legendary S-Shield. Available now, Supergirl Barbie Doll is a collaborative effort between designers and artists at Mattel, WBDGCP and DC.
