The Exorcist Believer Review

The Exorcist Believer is a film directed by David Gordan Green and starring Lafortune Joseph, and Leslie Odom Jr. Two young girls who try to contact one of their mothers who died while giving birth to her after an accident. They played a game that opened them up to something evil. Linking them together in a very unholy way. Lost for a few days they wind up miles from home with no idea how they got there or what happened.

The families were happy to have them back but they soon realize things are not right with them. They both wind up in a mental hospital. Things move fast as the nurse of Angela talks with her father after she tells the nurse a very guarded secret. She tells him about a book written by the mother Regan a girl possessed. He rejects it was he is a non-believer in God after his wife dies. He and the other girl’s family come together with different leaders from different faiths. Together they will try to save the girls who are linked in mind body and soul with each other and something evil.

For an Exorcist film, this one was okay nowhere near the original one. I give it a 6 out of 10 it lacked a depth of fear-inducing scenes. The story was unique in the way they were linked to each other in everything down to their vitals. The mix of different faiths working as one to help them was a good touch but lacked a bit more explanation. Overall a good film just not a scary one in my book.
