Sam Raimi’s Latest Production Features Bill Skarsgård in a Martial Arts Tour-de-Force.

(TORONTO, ON, September 8, 2023) – The unbridled energy of TIFF’s Midnight Madness is about to experience an action-packed surge. Ahead of the premiere for “Boy Kills World,” a martial-arts bedlam that showcases Bill Skarsgård’s transformation from an orphaned warrior into an instrument of revenge, Talent Digital Art leaps onto the scene to announce their upcoming fighting game, Super Dragon Punch Force 3.

Director Moritz Mohr’s feature-film debut Boy Kills World is an explosive amalgamation of arcade games, violent comics, and martial-arts cinema. Bill Skarsgård plays Boy, who’s on a quest for vengeance against the malevolent matriarch Hilda Van Der Koy, portrayed by Famke Janssen. Boy’s tumultuous journey, guided by a mysterious shaman (Yayan Ruhian of The Raid), involves both confrontation with Van Der Koy’s henchmen and allegiances with a desperate resistance group. The film revels in its audacious action sequences, infused with dark humor, and standout performances. Amidst its engaging plot, viewers will spot a nostalgic nod via an arcade game called Super Dragon Punch Force II, laying the breadcrumbs for the first playable game in the fictitious franchise, Super Dragon Punch Force 3.

“Super Dragon Punch Force 3” is the first title developed by Talent Digital Art. The game immerses players in a vibrant universe inspired by a wide range of geek cultures where they collect and battle with a cast of eclectic fighters. The game offers both single-player and multiplayer experiences on PC, iOS, and Android. Set against the backdrop of a comic book store named Zed’s Comics, players are transported to an adrenaline-charged world of combat arenas, skillfully navigating their way through fun, fluid, and fast-paced matches. Designed with modern comic book and manga influences, Super Dragon Punch Force 3 is a nod to arcade gaming nostalgia. Set for release in Q2 2024, the game promises to be both approachable for newcomers and entertaining for fighting game enthusiasts.

Amidst the anarchy and fervor of “Boy Kills World,” with its homage to arcade gaming, emerges this exciting announcement of Super Dragon Punch Force 3. As TIFF casts its cinematic magic, the entwining of filmic action with digital arts promises a thrilling journey for fans across both mediums.

As a special treat for those attending the premiere of “Boy Kills World”, when the house lights come up, there will be a surprise for the audience that will include a Super Dragon Punch Force 3 QR code. Those who scan the QR code and sign up will not only be kept updated about the game over the coming months, but also receive a limited, in-game skin available to attendees of TIFF and early adopters.
