Over the years, SpongeBob games have always been fun to play with either on console, PC, or even mobile. We have been fans of the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants for many years. As fans, you know we were excited to hear about the new game on the Nintendo Switch. SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off is a game where you cook some good food for the customers coming to the Krusty Krab. As SpongeBob, you master the kitchen while making sure you get the food out fast and to smiling customers. You will get paid good when you do a good job, if not, then its curtains for you! Not really curtains, but it does hurt your overall score!
We were able to be sent a review copy to try on our Nintendo Switch. Inside the game case, there was a cool poster of the front cover of the game. I dig little surprises like that, and I will make sure to hang that in our home.

- Controls
- The controls were very simple to master while playing the game. You have a brief tutorial when you first start the game and shows you how to make the food step by step. The button’s are constantly displayed next to the item that is needed to be created in the kitchen which makes things even easier. Once you start the cooking process, the controls just come naturally.
- Upgrade Kitchen
- Once you have enough coins, you are able to upgrade your kitchen to additional griddles, get better items, and more! You can also get some cool stuff for SpongeBob as well. I made sure my man had some nice shades while he was in the kitchen breaking that bread.
- Fun Factor
- The game is just so much fun! You can play for hours at end trying to make sure you master the kitchen while unlocking levels, getting more view of the story, and more! I had fun, my kids had fun, and we all had fun together. This game brought the whole family together.
