Second Act is a story of Maya (Jennifer Lopez) stuck in a retail job getting passed up for promotions. When out of the blue she is asked to interview for an unknown job. She takes the leap of faith and goes only to have her life change over a lie. Her life is now of a corporate executive and it puts a new weight on her to keep up the lie. Maya’s love life is broken over a pass she has never told her boyfriend. Only to have her pass to catch up with her in an unexpected way. Putting Maya in a rock and a hard place and a lie that could send her new found life crumbling down. Jlo does an outstanding job playing Maya and brings to life the duel lives she must keep up.
