WIESBADEN, GERMANY (AUGUST 20, 2020) – Publisher Assemble Entertainment is gearing up to make a big splash at Gamescom 2020 this year, bringing its biggest and brightest roster of titles ever, including smash hits Endzone – A World Apart, Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice, Shakes on a Plane, and many more. Not only that, but the publisher will also showcase two shiny new titles: the hectic, action-packed platformer Orbital Bullet from developer SmokeStab — winner of ‘Best concept with prototype’ category and 2nd prize in the ‘Prototype Young Talent Category’ at Deutscher Entwicklerpreis 2019 — and the Noir-inspired pixel-art adventure game Lacuna, from DigiTales Interactive, which won ‘Best Prototype’ at Game Award Saar.
“Even though the festival and conference scene is treading new territory this year, we’re still extremely excited to show off the biggest lineup we’ve ever brought to Gamescom,” said Assemble Entertainment CEO Stefan Marcinek. “We’re definitely bringing the heat this year, and I can’t wait to show off our catalog of well-loved hits and all-new reveals.”
Lacuna is a story-based pixel art adventure in a beautiful 2D sci-fi “noir” universe, which challenges the player to utilize extensive dialogue options in order to make decisions with potentially serious consequences. In the game, players must use their moral compass to navigate an emotionally intense experience that may or may not stimulate some critical self-reflection. Lacuna will be available on Windows PC via Steam in 2021.
