Polar Rescue Review

Polar Rescue is a film directed by Chi-Leung Law starring Donnie Yen and Cecilia Han. It is a story of a family on winter vacation when things take a very unexpected turn. As the vacation comes to a close the son throws a temper tantrum that the father forgot to take him to see the lake and its monster. The road to the lake is closed as it is the snowy season but the father finds a different way. The car gets stuck in the back road and the spoiled brat of the son starts to act up. When the father has enough of his son misbehaving he disciplines him and the Mother jumps in to baby the kid.

The kid runs off to a cabin the father tells his wife like him cool down we will take a drive around and let him be. When the father returns to pick him up and talk the son is nowhere to be found. He sets off looking for him not finding a clue of his son. They go to the police and start a hell of a search party that will turn into a major fight for not only the missing kid’s life but all that is involved. Not getting the help the father wants since it is the winter months there is a lot of fighting between them. A father will stop at nothing to find his child and through hell and death, he will follow his gut to find him.

A great story of what a father will endure to save his son and bring him home. This film is filled with full emotions both good and bad but one will start to connect with the father. I give this one a 7 out of 10 the drama builds in this one to the point it made me feel like it was taking away from finding the kid. Almost as if they didn’t want to risk their lives for him. The ending did not sit well with me I will not spoil it but left me with a big why. Overall great watch and story so be sure to check this one out now from Well Go Entertainment.
