Monterrey, MX (March 1, 2024) – After the release of his single “PREMIO O CASTIGO??,” Miguel Castillo Fons, better known as Mike Castillo, drops his debut EP “SEXY TAPES.” A 7-track musical journey through life and relationships, the EP is enveloped in a serene vibe accentuated by infectious urban beats. “SEXY TAPES” is now available on all platforms.
Drawing inspiration from Ed Maverick, the Campeche native discovered his love for music in 2020. After learning to play the guitar and singing covers, he channeled his emotions into songwriting and live broadcasts on Facebook. His dedication led him to record his own songs and, in 2021, he was personally invited to perform at CARDELLINO’s show in Mexico City, marking his on-stage debut.

Mike Castillo produces, composes, records, mixes and masters his own material. In October 2023, Mike Castillo signed with renowned producer Adrian Be who also collaborated on his debut EP “Sexy Tapes,” stacked with international collaborations such as SAAK, VGomez, Adrian Be, Face Brooklyn.
The focus track “Solución,” produced by Adrian Be and composed by Mike Castillo, is a track influenced by Drake’s house vibe in his “Honestly, Nevermind” album, seeking to fuse the North American sound with Latin urban lyrics. With its laid-back rhythm and smooth melodies, “Solución” embodies a chill atmosphere that captivates listeners from start to finish.
The song expresses the feeling of tranquility that a person can provide on a more intimate level, merging a poetic concept with urban sounds and Mexican slang. Throughout the track he recounts events related to the emotional journey of connecting with another person, an experience that many listeners will be able to resonate with when listening. The song is an intricate mix that evokes a warm and vibrant sensation to the ear.
The incorporation of Saak and Vgomez occurred when Mike Castillo presented the song to these artists with the vision that they could easily fit into the track thus blending together Mexican and the Spanish within the piece, resulting in a mix that is expected to reach a large audience due to the interesting combination of high and low voices.
