Legendary Comics YA Presents: Author in the Park with Dana Mele

Legendary Comics YA takes on a new twist of Shakespeare in the Park and will host Tragic Volume 1 author Dana Mele as she answers questions about her latest book. Tragic is a retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, exploring family, mystery, and death, by Pushcart-nominated writer Dana Mele (People Like Us; Summer’s Edge).

Featuring artwork from artist Valentina Pinti (SMASH! Thunderbolt the Avenger; Noise Press’ The Steams; NoLand Comics’ Rust) and colorist Chiara Di Francia (Jungle’s Le Renard de Morlange; Les Humanoides’ Associes Hard Rescue), Tragic takes on redefined and curious characters layered into a queer narrative that weaves together both lovely and unsettling perspectives inspired by the infamously classic tragedy.

Sunday, October 9, 2022 – 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Bella Abzug Park Fountains 539 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001

Free to attend. Purchased tickets include a copy of Tragic signed by Dana, available to be picked up at the event!
