Square Enix and Disney has released a demo version of the new game Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. As an Xbox user, I was able to download the demo game this morning to my Xbox. Once downloaded, I was able to press play and try out the game. You are greeted with a home screen and then taken to a tutorial. Throughout the tutorial, you learn the basics of the game such as which buttons to use for attack, jump, combination of jump x attack, attack with one or more characters and flying to the beat. Once the tutorial was over, you have the chance to try 4 songs from the game in the demo.

I tried out nearly each stage but as a person with clumsy hand and eye coordination, I was only able to complete one stage. The stages look fantastic with a throwback of Disney version of a music stanza which our characters walked on. Our characters have a chance to attack each enemy in coordination with the song on different lines from the stanza. I liked that for now we used 3 characters which were Donald Duck, Goofy, and Sora. I wonder which other characters will be part of the game and possibly unlocking while getting achievements. I can’t wait for the game to come out and will continue to play the demo to better my hand and eye coordination.
