January 13th, 2023 – The Netherlands – Leading blockchain games developer and media studio Murasaki has announced a partnership with Ava Labs, measured by time-to-finality as the fastest smart contracts platform in the world.
Backed by Incubate Fund, one of the largest VCs in Japan, Murasaki enlisted the developing team behind Pokelabo Inc.’s successful $174m exit and several top-grossing titles generating $100m+ in revenue, including SINoALICE, a mobile game played by millions.
As it sets out to release its first title, Cyberstella, in the first quarter of 2023, Murasaki will use the Avalanche blockchain from Ava Labs to develop original blockchain titles in an NFT-enhanced economy. The idea is to generate a conceptual IP, like a multiverse, wherein every character is independent, but transmedia mixes, collabs, and offshoots can happen.
And gaming is only the beginning; Murasaki will host a unique offering containing a mix of media that users don’t just consume, but gain the opportunity to participate and interact with it. Murasaki is going to publish several comic book series.
