Interview:

How did you get your start in music?

As individual we were all involved in music from an early age, being involved in different bands in Cyprus, playing both English and Greek Rock. As Monkey Mind, we started in 2016, after deciding to solely focus on English Rock and eventually come up with our own style and our own music.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

We generally have somewhat different tastes in music, but we all listened to rock and metal primarily, both English and Greek-speaking.

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

The most characterizing moment during recording was the time when we had to record the screaming voices in ‘Nightmare’. None of us has had any real experience with this kind of singing, and we really had a lot of fun and eventually got a very nice result with the help of our producer Bill Graves. But fun things happen all the time as we are the kind that will fool around and even at times completely get out of the zone of rehearsing or recording.

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

Our latest album is called ‘Breakdown’ and is available in all major digital platforms.
