What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings? 

Our inspiration comes from all different things/situations. between us both, we bring our own influences to the table when getting in the same room to write so its quite varied.

What type of music did you listen to growing up? 

Matt: in my teens, I’d listen to bands like Green Day, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Biffy, Jimmy eat world, Blink 182, Sum 41… Etc – a bit similar to what I listen to now

Jack: I was brought up on my dad’s music collection, so I spent my pre-teen years listening to Hendrix, Neil Young, Jefferson Airplane, and loads in between. Other than that I was really into Arctic Monkeys and Biffy.

Is there someone you looked up to as a hero? 

Matt: in terms of from the music world – For me, it would have to be someone like Dave Grohl, the writing ability is crazy and not just as a frontman, also from behind the kit

Jack: I learnt 90% of what I know about playing guitar from John Mayer and always loved how varied his music is from album to album.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today? 

Matt: I guess I’d probably be doing what I do currently – it’s far from music I can tell you that for free

Jack: God knows what I’d be doing today without music, probably something science related.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?

Just go for it and enjoy what you are doing. The rest then becomes easy.
