Interview with 4ra 4ra

We were able to sit down with 4ra 4ra to discuss their inspiration to write music, heroes, and much more! Be sure to check out the music of 4ra 4ra on Spotify below after the interview.

Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

No it isn’t. I was that type of kid who was raised by video games and anime series, born to the internet era so I inclined to imagined cultures of master minds. I was mostly at home doing my crafts or being a part of some virtual culture, playing VR chats in my tweens and chatting with people from all around the world so I think my inspiration came mostly from the internet culture.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Literally, anything—from mainstream to oldies, electronic to rap, metal to lo-fi, and even bizarre genres. I have always been open-minded, enjoying anything that resonates with my vibe.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

Rezz, Grimes, Ic3peak, Poppy, Lucille Croft. Love their music.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

I am primarily a digital artist and painter who started making music, so the question is a reversed butterfly effect in my case.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Be brave and don’t hesitate, even you don’t know what DJs actually do. When I started and opened the DAW for the first time, I thought there was no chance I could learn this. Yet, here I am, so just push yourself to it.
