Bahnsen Knights Nintendo Switch Review

1986, Tornado Alley, USA… Go undercover as Boulder, an agent infiltrating the notorious religious cult known as the Bahnsen Knights. Face off against occultists, biblical storms, and an enigmatic car salesman turned preacher as you investigate the disappearance of a fellow agent and close friend.

We were able to get a review copy of Bahnsen Knights for our Nintendo Switch. I was able to download the game straight to my Nintendo Switch Lite. Once downloaded, I was able to load the game with such ease and straight to play it. I was pretty shocked on how the storytelling of the game will catch your attention. For the first few minutes of the game, you will be brought up to speed on Boulder, the Bahnsen Knights, and much more.  I had a ton of fun experiencing the game Bahnsen Knights on my Switch. I didn’t expect this much action in the game where a lot of things that can happen…well they happened haha. I can’t wait to see if there will be a series added to this game or hell even a movie!

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Storytelling
    • I enjoyed the story of Bahnsen Knights. With Boulder being undercover, you see from a different view of the cult. I liked how he leaned into listening more into what the lunatic was spewing so he can gather more information. Each piece of information is key, in my opinion, which had my mind trying to put it all together like a puzzle.
  • Pixels
    • The visual pixel art in the game made it more moody like grungy. You felt like you were back in time with Boulder following up in this case. I enjoy the throw back as well as how visually retro made the story of Bahnsen Knights come out even more.

Con:

  • None
