HALLOWEEN FILMS ASCEND IN DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20” LIST

Get into the Halloween spirit with a great selection of movies from this week’s DEG “Watched at Home Top 20” list, including Hocus Pocus, which climbed to No. 2, Beetlejuice (up to No. 8, from 11) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (up to No. 14, from 16). Halloween (2018) also joins the list of trending films strengthening the holiday showing. Additionally, four new titles join the chart: Star Trek: Picard Season 1, documentary The Phenomenon, romantic comedy Then Came You, and sci-fi drama 2067. Despite all the new entrants, the top of the chart remains relatively unchanged, with Jessica Chastain vehicle Ava at No. 1 and multiple seasons of Yellowstone and The Secret: Dare to Dream rounding out the Top 5.

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
