GLITTERBOX TEAMS UP WITH LUSH FOR RAVE & BATHE LAUNCH SXSW

Glitterbox is excited to announce the launch of its collaboration with cosmetic company Lush, delivering a product range centered around the joys of raving and relaxation. Consisting of sprays, bath bombs, and soap, an exclusive preview of the range will be unveiled this month at Austin’s renowned South by Southwest event, where Lush will present its takeover – Lush House.

Known for its eclectic range of fresh and handmade products, the collaboration will see Lush present an offering of unique products centered around both brand’s ethos of self-care and freedom of expression. A celebration of nightlife’s euphoric spirit, the range features Glitterbox’s iconic heart logo and graffiti-inspired visuals, brought to life by Glitterbox commissioned artist Ellise Lawrence, whose graphics have been seen making statements across the globe.

The partnership’s first drop set to launch this month will feature four unique products centered around the campaign’s ‘Rave’ range – a nod to the magic of nightlife and self-identity. Revealed for the first time at Lush House will be a fairtrade shea and cocoa butter-infused shimmer bar – Strike a Pose, a playful grapefruit oil-scented body spray – Shake ‘N’ Spritz, Give me Body – an apple-scented glitter-filled soap shaped in Glitterbox’s unmistakable logo and Glitter Bomb, the disco-ball inspired bath bomb, all of which will be available to purchase during the takeover and via Glitterbox’s website from Friday, March 31st.

“It has been a dream to work alongside the Lush team and it feels incredible to finally be able to reveal our Rave and Bathe collaboration with them. We are proud to have created a product range that is fuelled by a synergy of self-love, music, freedom of expression, and fun! We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the launch than with a packed schedule of activity at South by Southwest, where we get to bring together our artists and talent for a special takeover. This is only the beginning, stay tuned for more!” – Amanda Hamilton, Creative Manager at Glitterbox.

The SXSW showcase will also feature Glitterbox favorites for an evening of music and innovative technology. Joining Lush House and taking over the decks will be DJ and Glitterbox Radio host Melvo Baptiste alongside Detroit supergroup Dames Brown, presenting their unique take on soul. Accompanying the music will be Glitterbox’s iconic performers, known best for commanding stages across the globe from London to Paris, Sydney, and Ibiza.

“We’re so excited to be partnering up with Glitterbox to create a limited range of products inspired by party nights and upbeat music. Self-care can be dancing to music and getting ready to rave, and that’s exactly what this collaboration is all about. With a range of glittery bath and body cosmetics that encompasses the spirit of dance culture and having fun, we can’t wait for our customers to experience the magic of Lush x Glitterbox.” – Kalem Brinkworth, Collaborations and Concepts Senior Creative at Lush.

In addition to the takeover, Lush House will host an afternoon of conversations, including a Glitterbox panel that will explore the relationship between dance music and well-being. Reflecting on the benefit of personal connections on the dancefloor, audiences will also have an opportunity to immersive themselves in Lush’s audio-visual experience via the Lush app. Aiding relaxation and allowing users to create various moods, two exclusive Glitterbox playlists will also be available, transporting users to the golden era of disco from the comfort of their own bathtub.

Glitterbox will take over Lush House (85 Rainey St, Austin, TX) on the evening of Sunday, March 12th. A limited range of products will be available to purchase from Friday, March 31st at https://defected.com/store.html
