Gravity has abruptly disappeared and citizens have no choice but to adjust to a new, floaty reality. A mega corporation, Rio Grande, offers a conveniently timed solution to the universe’s unexpected problem – gravity boots! Galactic denizens must now rely on Rio Grande’s invention to get back to stick to surfaces and stop floating into space.
As an alternate solution, your roommate Gary sees a promising market for his own version of the gravity boots. Until suddenly Gary goes missing, leaving you without his half of the rent and now on the verge of eviction! Laser pistol in hand and gravity boots underfoot, walk on walls through a zero-gravity rescue mission across the galaxy and bring Gary (and his rent) home!
Power through procedurally generated levels, avoiding oncoming debris by clinging to limitless surfaces to keep Gary in your line of sight. Pick up powerups along the way, amplifying the laser gun’s abilities to zap through foes. Through clever use of the gravity boots and a teleport gun, battle anywhere, from walls to floors to ceilings. Weave between projectiles with a jetpack to find the perfect position to overcome impressive bosses.
Gravity Oddity avoids the punishing reputation of roguelikes thanks to the unique various features implemented to improve each run, including permanent upgrades and unlockables. Hunt for treasure, boost character stats and uncover other mysteries of the universe while utilizing boundless floors and high-powered laser guns to vanquish anyone who stands in the way of bringing Gary home.
