[Wiesbaden, Germany – March 5th, 2024] – Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Little Knight Games are excited to announce Mira and the Legend of the Djinns, an epic pixel art Metroidvania that brings Moroccan spiritual traditions and culture to life. Mira is currently in development for PC and will launch via Steam later in 2024. It will test not only your skills but also the strength of your bonds as you descend deeper into the ruins of a world known to only the bravest adventurers. Wield powerful ancient weapons and forge your way through dangerous stages as you try to uncover the secret of the last Djinn!
Mira and the Legend of the Djinns is a classic 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania, in which you’ll explore and fight various enemies, as well as discover new tools, items, and abilities while progressing in the game. As you unlock new abilities, you’ll get the chance to defeat enemies in style. There’s no shortage of new moves to unlock, giving you plenty of ways to take down your foes.
Not every ancient treasure belongs in a museum, as treasure hunter Yuba discovers within the debris of the kingdom of Fallen Amazgesh. There, Yuba meets a Djinn named Mira, a race long lost to the world of man, and the pair team up together to escape the ruins and discover Mira’s lost memories.
| The combat system emphasizes fluidity and experimentation, and allows you to switch between weapons, and elemental modes on the fly. Thanks to its blisteringly fast pace, Mira and the Legend of the Djinns will keep you on your toes as you mow down enemies across its gorgeous stages.
What is a dead world to the living survivors? What secrets are contained in Mira’s memories? Can Yuba keep his promise to uncover these mysteries? With the help of numerous ancient weapons, Yuba and Mira will team together to take on both primeval and mutated enemies in momentous battles across a colossal map in an effort to answer these questions.
