Hailed by BBC as ‘The Prince Of Pop Punk,’ London based songwriter Danny Wright has emerged as one of the leading voices of a generation of misfits and rebels. His fearless yet vulnerable take on modern anxiety has earned him a huge following as well as seemingly endless critical acclaim. His latest single is a rallying cry for young people who are sick of being ignored.
“Misunderstood and abandoned once again,” Danny sings. “This isolation is my new best friend.”
In an increasingly disconnected world, Danny’s willingness to tackle his fears head on makes for a truly cathartic listen. He turns his angst into something uplifting, capable of uniting the down and out and encouraging them to embrace their individuality.

Describing the inspiration behind the track, Danny explained:
“It’s usually people from an older generation who don’t understand the generation I come from, so they don’t understand how I see the world and because I’m not complying, I’m considered, wrong or broken, misunderstood and isolated. I see this in the youth of today, they are growing up in a different world to their authorities from generations before, but they are still telling them how to live. This song is ultimately an anthem about breaking away from the conformities of the older generations’ ideals.”
BROKEN YOUTH is set to release 8th of May and will be available on all streaming platforms
